Dark Chocolate Lavender Truffles
I love desserts but my body has a hard time processing extra sugar. So, I am always looking for lower sugar dessert alternatives. These creamy bites are easy to make and melt in your mouth, they are to die for!
Dark Chocolate Lavender Truffles
INGREDIENTS
6 oz Organic dark chocolate, finely chopped
1 Tbsp Coconut oil
1/2 Tbsp Raw unfiltered honey, or organic grade A maple syrup
1/3 c Organic coconut milk
Dash sea salt
2-4 drops Lavender YL essential oil
Unsweetened cocoa flour for rolling
Melt coco oil, honey, coco milk, and salt in a saucepan, and gently simmer. Do not boil.
Pour mixture into a heatproof bowl over chopped chocolate. Stir until melted and smooth.
Stir in Lavender YLEO.
Refrigerate about 2 hours or until mixture sets.
Using a small scoop make 12 balls, then roll until smooth.
Roll each truffle in cocoa powder until coated.
Refrigerate for 15 minutes or until firm.
Let stand at room temperature a few minutes before serving.
Enjoy the smooth chocolately goodness!
Try other combinations such as peppermint, ginger, cinnamon or orange, yum!
