Apple Lemonade Smoothie

We have been on a fruit/veggie cleanse because we needed a reset. This is our new favourite smoothie. I combine stuff and then the kids name it.

Apple Lemonade Smoothie

INGREDIENTS

  • Apples = fiber, vitamin C and quercetin

  • Lemons = vitamin C and B, antioxidants and aid in digestion

  • Celery = vitamin A, may help reduce inflammation, aid in digestion, low cal

  • Spinach = niacin, zinc, protein and fiber, helps protect colon from free radicals

  • Flax = fiber, omega 3, magnesium, b vitamins

  • DE = silicia, bone health, anti-parasitic

  • Lemon Essential Oil = MAY help cleansing and weight loss, cognitive health, mood and anxiety

Good immune-boosting way to start the day I would say.



Recipe

  • 3 Green apples, diced

  • 3 Lemons, peel removed

  • 4 Stalks celery

  • 1-2 Cups frozen spinach

  • 1/8 Cup flax or chia seeds

  • 2 Tbsps Food grade DE

  • 1 Drop YL lemon essential oil

  • Drizzle Grade A maple syrup, optional

Top off with ice + blend ingredients until smooth.

Garnish + serve. Enjoy!
